Delete Your Account

This page explains how to delete your Cheating or Not account and the data associated with it. Cheating or Not is developed by Bishesh Manandhar.

Option 1 — Delete in the app (instant)

Open Cheating or Not and sign in.
Go to your Profile.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
Tap Delete to confirm.

Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out. This cannot be undone.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you no longer have the app installed or can't sign in, email cheatingornot.app@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my account". Send it from the email address of the Apple or Google account you signed in with (or include that address, or your Apple "Hide My Email" relay address, in the message) so we can find your account. We will delete it within 30 days and confirm by email.

What gets deleted

Your profile: display name, gender, age range, age-check confirmation, and gameplay counters (such as situations judged and streaks)
Your sign-in account, including the email address and Apple/Google identifier linked to it
Any Spill the Tea 🍵 submissions still waiting for review

What is kept, and why

Vote totals. Your votes stay counted in each situation's aggregate statistics (e.g. "62% said Cheating"). Individual vote records remain only under a random ID that is no longer linked to any account, name, or email.
Published situations. Situations you submitted that were already published stay in the game as shared content, but are permanently unlinked from you — they cannot be traced back to you or re-attached to a new account.
Purchase records. Records of in-app purchases (a transaction ID and the date) are kept to prevent fraud and meet accounting obligations. Apple, Google, and our payment processor RevenueCat also keep their own transaction records under their own policies. Deleting your account does not refund purchases — refunds are handled by Apple or Google.

Squad Mode rooms and in-game answers are temporary and are already deleted automatically after each game.
